KNIGHTS LANDING, Yolo County — October 28, 2026. Knights Landing voters do not need to drive to Woodland to return a completed vote-by-mail ballot. The Yolo County Elections Office lists a secure, outdoor ballot drop box at the Knights Landing Branch Library, 42351 Third Street, near the library box on Railroad Street.
When can ballots be dropped off?
The county says its outdoor ballot drop boxes opened October 2, 2026, and are accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week until they are closed and sealed at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. The box in Knights Landing is one of the county’s officially designated locations; do not leave ballots in a regular library book-return slot or at an unmarked private collection point.
What other voting options are available?
Yolo County is offering 16 official drop boxes and 14 Vote Centers across the county, including a mobile Vote Center serving rural communities on specific dates. Active registered voters are sent vote-by-mail ballots, and eligible residents can vote in person at any county Vote Center. There is no need to visit the neighborhood nearest your residential address if another official county Vote Center is more convenient.
The county also provides conditional, same-day registration after the standard October 19 registration deadline for eligible voters at a Vote Center. You cannot complete conditional registration simply by placing an unregistered person’s ballot in a drop box; the election office will explain the proper process.
